360 and disconnections with Virgin Superhub2

Hi I have just changed ISP from BT to Virgin and I have changed from using the Wifi connection to an ethernet.

Everything is working fine, Desktops and Laptops and phones, but not my Xbox 360.

Originally my new ISP confirmed that the upstreams were too high and so an engineer came round and fitted something, they now say it looks fine.

    But the disconnections continue.

When I run a test wired, unwired and even if the HUB is in modem mode I still get Y Status Error.

    Country is United Kingdom, Scotland

    Modem/Router - Virgin Super Hub 2

I am using Ethernet, but was using Black Wifi Adaptor, it is not a 360 S

UPnP is disabled, though I have tried it enabled too

I have recieved a NAT error, though not always. It states Moderate.

    Error Code is as follows ;

    w 0000-0008

    x 0000-f001

    y 20a8-48e0

    z 0000-0000

    ID FFFF-FFFF

    L: 0015-10F0

    Q:8007-0435

    T:WIRED

    A:192.168.0.100/255.255.255.0

    G:192.168.0.1

    D:192.168.0.1/0.0.0.0

i HAVE THE FOLLOWING PORTS OPEN TOO

    88

    2074

    3074

    53

    80

    500

    3544

    4500

BOTH TCP & UDP HAVE BEEN OPENED FOR EACH.

On the Hub the Firewall is set to Low and Port Scan Detection, IP Flood Detection, IPSec Pass-Through are all enabled.

I have tried switching the HUB2 to modem mode, using the old Wifi adapter, changing the ethernet cable. putting the Xbox into DMZ and turning UPnP on then off, also I tried turning flood protection off an Firewall itself off.

On the Xbox I have done a factory reset, and cleared system cache (3 times in a row )

At the moment the hub is using Ethernet, the ports listed are the ones open, Firewall is low and the Xbox completes a test with no error message appearing on the screen, but the Y STATUS showing and when pressed the above code is what comes up.

I have noticed that sometimes when I have ran the test the Y STATUS message has been indentical except for X 0001 -8005

Also the first issue that arose after I switched ISP and from Wifi to Ethernet was "Matchmaker Error" I spoke to Xbox chat and they asked me to clear system cache, then re-download my profile. From then on they told me the issue was with my ISP not Xbox.
2 weeks on my ISP, VirginMedia are telling me they are not to blame 360 and disconnections with Virgin Superhub2 :(

Just now Im using a wired connection with the following ports opened

    :)

  3. NAT Type:Strict, Virgin Media, Superhub2

    Hello people.

Sorry...yet another NAT Type: Strict post. Feel like I'm stuck between a rock and hard place at the minute. Unable to get an Open NAT after using all the guides I've managed to find. I'm hoping to find someone who has cured/fixed/solved the NAT Strict
issue with Virgin as there ISP. But any help at all is welcomed at this point.

Basically I've been referred back to Microsoft as Virgin have exhausted all avenues with there assistance...all i get is that they don't support IPv6. Even tho Teredo is a transition technology which gives IPv6 connectivity to IPv4. Now I'm not an expert
at this by any stretch of the imagination. I just want some decent answers!!!! Maybe even help anyone else out there searching for the same information which i am.

Where does this problem ultimately lye?? Is it Microsoft for pushing the protocol too soon?? The ISPs for not being ready? Will changing my router to one with IPv6 protocols which i can toggle on/off cure the issues in the short term? Do Sky users have
the same issues? IF not why not?. Whats different with Virgin as an ISP?

Thanks in advance guys for any light you can shed on the subject.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? UK

Modem brand & model number: Superhub2

Router brand & model number: Superhub2

Wired or wireless: Attempted both wired and Wireless

    Things you have tried:

Port forwarding/triggering. DMZ exclusion. Modem mode (was still showing Strict even in modem mode??). I have even had Virgins "technical team" (term used lightly) try and resolve the issue remotely and set things up themselves after my attempts failed to
succeed. Had an engineer out locally and replace the router to rule out any issues with that.

360 and disconnections with Virgin Superhub2

Just to update I found these other suggestions on this forum and tried them out.

    1. Deleted Marketplace System Data

    2.Rights Database

Then cleared cache 3 times, turned off via dashboard, turned on with power button on console after 1 minute and ran Xbox Live test.

It came up Nat Error, unplug the power from router or modem for 30 secs....

So I unplugged for 1 minute the Hub2, then plugged back in and when all 5 lights returned I ran the test again. IE I never put the xbox off while router was unplugged.

This completed with no Nat Error message, just the Y STATUS The error message shown was identical to the one I posted in earlier post.

The advice about deleting Rights Database and Marketplace System Data, also included deleting "Content Cache" but this was something I couldnt find.

Also there were two other files 1.) - Optional Media Update 2.) Xbox improvement Data. neither of which I deleted, but wondered it I should ?

I should say that even in DMZ I was getting the NAT Error stuff, which I cant really understand, but these things never do make sense to me 360 and disconnections with Virgin Superhub2 :D

Two XBOnes in our house - how to get both on Open NAT type?

    Hey there and Hellnation13,

Not all Routers can support two Xbox One consoles with Open NAT settings. Can you please provide the Manufacture and Model number of the Router so we can take a closer look?

    Thanks!

    One simple question...

    OK guys, issue resolved!!! finally!!

Had a Virgin engineer here most of the day trying this, that and the next but nothing was working. He tried a new Superhub2 but that didn't work... We finally got a solution by wiring both X1's to the Netgear N600 with the Superhub2 in modem mode. Was fun
routing the cable through the whole house for the second box!!

NYC, I'm blaming it on the boogie!

Skridger, I'm running the Superhub2 which is an all in one, best results for me was to use a secondary router... now running (or will be by xmas) 2 X1's (wired), 2 360's (wireless), a PS3 (wireless), 2 smart TV's (1 wired, 1 wireless) 3 laptops (wireless),
a PC (wired) and tablet and phones (wireless)... I like the idea of the toaster though, where can I get one????

Zero, the engineer tried loads of things, I've no idea what he was talking about but there was talk of IP addresses, gateways, subnets, fishing nets and spaceships! Just seems the X1's don't like the wireless or the wireless doesn't like them which I find
strange due to the 360's both connecting without issue.

so, in summing up, thanks to those who offered help and guidance, and to those with other comments, learn some tolerance to those not as clued up ;) ... Merry Xmas folks
