    question about xbox live gold membership renewal

    So I got an email today saying 'Your subscription to Gold – 33% off 12 Months is scheduled to be automatically renewed to Gold – 12 Month on Sunday, December 09, 2012". Will the renewal stay at the 33% off price (40$), or will I be charged the regular
    $60?

    The info should be in the email, perhaps in the fine print. But beware that there are a lot of deals like that that are fake. Look at the path of the link before you click on it to make sure you are not going to a phishing site. If you hover over the link,
    look on the bottom left corner of your browser screen to see where it is actually taking you.

    RRP for 12 month Gold in New Zealand is $79.95. When I first joined Xbox Live was doing a console sale 12M Gold 40% off. This year when I went to renew my 12M Gold in February, JB had a 40% off Xbox Live Gold. It would be interesting to see 50% off. But
    40% is good enough. Pay it and worry about it only once a year and you're all sorted.

    This legitimately says "40% off 12-month renewel". Mine expires in 8 days. Mine also only gives the full 59.99 for 12 months price. So does this mean I have to wait for my current subscription to expire before I can renew at the 40% off price? How much
