Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming: Ethernet irritating problem
so I go to college, and my dorms have a security on the Wi-Fi that doesn't allow it to be used on console. So I went to Ethernet, except the thing is it doesn't work. Ever. I have bought 5 different brands and prices of Ethernet cables and none of them work.
I set my settings to automatic and still nothing. I plug the cable into my computer, take a pic of my ip and dns numbers, type them into my xbox with the cable connected. And still nothing. Alot of forums say "reset your router" but it's a dorm router and
Its against policy to turn them off. Thought I should mention, I've taken my xbox to other rooms in my dorm, even my neighbors, and it works. So it's not my xbox port that's an issue. I sent a request for the tech guy to come test my wall ports, and he said
"everything is running 100% correctly" so if there is no issue in the wall ports, and my xbox Ethernet port isn't and issue, What could it be ?? I'm extremely frustrated as I've had 2 of our campuses RTA's (residential technical advisor) come take a look
and Both have said "I don't know what's wrong". Last thing to mention, twice over the past 6 months, it randomly works, as I have my xbox plugged in constantly in my dire hopes it will work. 1st time it worked for about a week, 2nd time was for about 3 days.
    I really need suggestions.

    :)

I have the same problem after this latest update and Microsoft doesn't help to open your ports anymore!!!! you have to contact your internet provider. I was connected by ethernet/wired and got this same message about the teredo... (my internet provider
could not seem to help with this either. so i connected wireless and Bam it worked for me. and stated that my NAT was open.... hope this helps you

Try changing the DNS on Xbox One.

    Use Google.

The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:

    Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

    After changing, restart Xbox One.

    It worked for me.

Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming: port forwarding

Hi I Rundis33! The official list of Xbox One ports is:

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • UDP Port 3544 (UDP)
    • UDP Port 4500 (UDP)
I would also strongly suggest forwarding UDP and TCP ports 3075 and 3076, as these are used by a number of multiplayer games (especially Activision games like Call of Duty.) If you don't forward those, although your Xbox itself will have an Open NAT, when
you go to the multiplayer menu in-game, you will see a message saying your NAT is Moderate until you forward those developer-specific ports.

Though too many to list here, each game may have its own port that needs to be forwarded - I know EA games like Titanfall and Battlefront have ports listed, though I have had success with Open NAT by only using the Titanfall ports and NOT the Battlefront
ports - it results in a conflict, somehow, which slows down the entire system.

Likewise, Ubisoft's The Crew has a specific port which needs to be forwarded - if you have a Moderate NAT in-game, there is a button to press which tells you what to check to make sure you have the right port. I had this happen to me, forwarded the port
suggested by the game, and my NAT was immediately Open in-game.

So, unfortunately it's not a strict black-and-white answer, but the ports listed above will give you the start that you need! You'll have to play it by ear from there if you have issues with specific games. Hope this helps!
