    Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming: With an Open Nat does it mean the ports have already been port forwarded?
    To whom it may concern,

    I recently gotten an upgrade on ISP and I had to port forward my PS4 to get phenomenal connections, my Xbox One was already pretty good without port forwarding and I seemed to get an Open Nat and good connections without using the method. However I wanted
    to try to port forward the Xbox One on my Comcast router but it kept giving me an error message and try again later. Is it because the ports are already open that it won't allow me to do the forwarding or is there another issue.

    I know if the PS4 is doing good with this method the Xbox One will be beyond great.

    :)

    have you tried checking to ensure both Xbox are on Open NAT? Also check individual ports for those particular games as some games require additional ports to play without issues. Hope this helps

    Port Forwarding to Xbox Live

    Ports required to use Xbox Live

    These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work:

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)
    Note Some game developers require you to open additional ports. You should always check the game developer's website to see if the game you're playing needs additional ports to work. We've gathered some ports you might need
    and have added them to the
    Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming
    forum.

    If you're connected to a network through your workplace or school, ask the network administrator to open these ports.

    If you receive a NAT warning when you connect to Xbox Live, see the

    FPS drops when playing games PLEASE help me

    Have you tried port forwarding ports for those specific games? Call of duty I know has additional ports that need to be open. You can have an open NAT on xbox and have a moderate nat on COD. You can also check your nat for COD from their network stuff
    in their menu's

    network error question

    If it is having a NAT error, then it means that the NAT port on his modem is not set to open. If your NAT port is not open it can impact greatly on the amount of games you can join,

    I hope this helps :)

    Xbox One UPnP vs Port forwarding

    DO NOT enable UPnP and forward ports. It will cause conflicts.

    If you have multiple consoles on the same network and are trying to connect to Call of Duty AW,

    You need to open additional ports to get an Open NAT.

    Disable UPnP and open 3075 along with the other necessary ports for 1 additional console. If you have 2 additional consoles, open 3075 and 3076. UDP

    Xbox One port list

    Even though you're hijacking my thread here is the information you asked for:

    Microsoft defined three categories of NAT: open, moderate, and strict. Devices that perform strict or moderate NAT can limit the ability of gamers to find each other, participate in multiplayer sessions, or hear each other on Xbox Live.

    What does each NAT type mean?

    The classification system boils down to something called a port-assignment policy.

    Open NAT means that either the port-assignment policy is minimal or the device has a fully compliant version of UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) enabled by default.

    Moderate NAT means that the port-assignment policy is minimal, but the device is filtering addresses or ports.

    Strict NAT means the port-assignment policy is aggressive.

    How to make router/firewall to be open kind?

    To make the firewall/router from strict to open, actually Microsoft′s devices looking for three UDP ports to be properly routed. If you can add following ports to the NAT rules on the router, it will be considered open:

    UDP port 5060;

    UDP port 5061;

    UDP port 3074;

    I'm not sure why yours is looking at 3075 and not 3074. Do you have more than one xbox360/xbox one on that network?
