I know there are hundreds of posts already about the issue of Internet speed on Xbox, however none of the replies has provided an coherent answer or all the element that could contribute to speed was not listed by poster, so on that note

    1. Internet provided FIOS

    2. Plan 940 Download / 880 Upload max

    3. Connection to Xbox via wired Ethernet port 4 feet away

    4. Cable CAT6

    5. Changed the DNS to both Cloudflare and Google DNS servers

    5. No other devices is utilizing the bandwidth

    6. Site to test the connection speed: www.verizon.com/speedtest/

    The test:

I connect the cable from Router to Ethernet port of MacBook. Utilizing the speed test site, I pretty much on average get these speeds on MacBook:

    Download: 920 Mbps

    Upload: 800 Mbps

I then get the same cable by removing it from MacBook and attaching it to Xbox. I then used the same same site via Xbox Edge browser and these are best results I can get:

    Download: 281 Mbps

    Upload: 41 Mbps

I have switched back and forth between Mac and Xbox by using the same cable and different times of the day but the results are pretty much the same.

    Any feedback is appreciate it.

    :)

This test means with your Xbox Ethernet Port can have some trobble, I think with that test you make say that for me,or when you try make the test on your Xbox in Edge the OS from your Xbox don't make the same route of your MacBoock, the route change constatly.
I Sugest for you making the same test tomorrow so you see if that is the insues come in your Ethernet port on your Xbox

    Hello!

Here are a few troubleshooting tips to try.

    1.) Rebooting your Xbox completely

2.) Trying a different ethernet cable

3.) Rebooting you router or gateway (see wifi provider for more info)

4.) Disconnect all other devices and try again. It may just be too many devices are on your network.

5.) Try using a wireless network. If you get faster speeds with wireless, something is wrong with your wired connect port on your xbox or gateway. (If this is the case, stick with wireless since it’s faster.)

6.) Many high speed internet connections like yours usually run on a fiber network. At congestion times, speeds may slow. Try testing during a weekday or at night.

    Hopefully these tips help!

P.S. 200+ Upload Speed should be more than enough to play on multiple consoles at once. Unless you are seeing performance issues or very high ping, I wouldn’t be worried.

    Hi There,

The first ambassedor said it perfectly, but just to add one more thing Microsoft only requires a

    3 Megabit
connection so as far as online gaming goes, you have a fantastic connection. Just make sure you have a low ping and you can pretty much enjoy any game you want.

As far as speed for downloading games, I think almost 300 Megabits is pretty good and will allow you to download any game quickly, providing that you have a good amount of cap space.
And some oeople, like me as of today, don't even that. I get only 1.5 Mb in 400 kb out and I know I can't play a 20-80 player epic. Other games are "your mileage may vary". That's why i post results on

Fiber, it is only a dream for us in rural locations.

Another thing to check is that you are shutting games down correctly and that there is nothing updating in the background.
