Ark on game pass pc crash at launch

Hello FlorianD, this only happens to Ark or happens with some other game, does the system show some error message when the game does not work?

Also have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

If i buy xbox pass and download ark for free, will i able to join steam ARK servers or EPIC ark servers, plz let me know so that i can buy it.

The Xbox Game Pass will only allow you to play with the Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox versions.

Yes both are updated. I've tried both repairing and reinstalling the Xbox client as well.

have you looked if the your app and windows 10 are up to date?

I didn't see what you wrote about "ext_crater_forest_near_2". I found in an internet search with the first result being Ark support forums for this topic. It looks like some have had success in fixing it, but it varies by each user's posts. Have you submitted
a ticket with Ark Support to get technical advice for the game from them. If you're only having issues with the game, and not any other area of your PC then they might have more information. Are you playing using Game Pass PC? If so you might try reinstalling
the game using the Xbox app instead of the Store app. That's a large file size to just reinstall though, unless you have no data caps.
