Beta - not allowing split screen players to interact with game

Depends on the game and how many players the game allows in split-screen co-op. Most split screen games allow 2-4 players at one time on a console.

If you mean accounts on a console, I've had 8-10 accounts on a console as have family that come over regularly and play video games with me.

The campaign modes for Halo: CEA and Halo 2: Anniversary only support two-player split screen; the multiplayer modes all allow for up to four-player split screen.

There are a lot of games with single player experiences and games that allow Split-Screen local multiplayer without a need for a Gold subscription.

According to the store page, Rocket League should have a local Split Screen option, that doesn't require a Gold membership.

Make sure you or your kid chooses a game mode that allows local split screen play. That way you won't need a Gold membership.

However, if your grandchild wants to play online against multiple other players, a Gold membership is necessary.

The real problem is that games dont support split screen play anymore.Halo used to allow 4 players on the same console.

The only time any console allows for more then 4 players (without system link) are in games that the controllers are passed on to the next player, or there are turns to be had in certain games... It will say 6players, but should also say alternating, instead
of simultaneously... The odd sports game might allow for more, as the field of view is always 1 area and never splits. That "other" Console has no 6player split screen games.
