  1. Denon AVR 2700H + XBOX ONE connected to Samsung QLED does not show TV HDR10 compatible

Hi, I have an XBOX ONE connected to the Game HDMI port of my Denon 2700H which is connected to a Samsung QLED TV - when I configure HDR on the xbox one, I get a message indicating that my TV is not HDR10 compatible which of course is not correct; I do not
see this when XBOX is connected to the TV directly. Anyone seen this issue? Any reasonable workarounds?

    Thanks in advance

    Vivek

Samsung HG40EA790MS: Xbox one X compatibility with TV's

I have the Samsung 58" version of this TV, & while it doesn't specify HDR10 on the packaging & information, my XBOX ONE X recognized it as HDR10 compatible. The console itself gives different terms that manufacturers use to indicate that their TVs employ
    HDR10. Hope this is useful!

Problems with hdr her on xbox one s

    Yep!

My Daughters Samsung TV is a late 2015 model but it had an update to make it HDR10 compatible

My friend who I mentioned before, purchased a 2016 Samsung that wasn't HDR10 compatible, even with updates. It really is confusing lol

I'll say again though to anyone. If your on the market for a 4K TV to go with your new Xbox Slim, when you see the TV you like, even if the store folks tell you it's HDR10, phone the TV manufacturers Support with model number and double check :)

Is there a bug with the xbox one s detecting hdr10 ?

Also folks as I've posted before

Because a TV is HDR, it doesn't automatically mean it's HDR10. Best to phone your TVs support folks and double check.

If they confirm its HDR10 compatible then it's just a case of making sure the right settings on both console and TV are enabled.

Also check if your TV needs updating. I know certain Samsung models from 2015/16 were not HDR10 but with an update there were

Unfortunately if your TV isn't HDR10 ( could still be HDR ) then it won't be able to use all Xbox One Slim features, HDR10 gaming etc

    Good luck

Xbox One unable to detect that my receiver supports DD5.1, DD7.1 or DTS

I have a Denon AVR-3311CI and it accepts HDMI audio. I've always used / run the HDMI cable from my Xbox 360 to my Denon 3311CI (GAME - IN), and then another HDMI cable from my Denon 3311CI (MONITOR - OUT) to my Panasonic Plasma (HDMI 1). The Denon AVR-3311CI
    would display DOLBY DIGITAL!!

With the Xbox One, I am running the HDMI cable from the Xbox One to my Denon AVR-3311CI (GAME - IN), and then the HDMI cable from my Denon AVR-3311CI (Monitor - OUT) to my Panasonic Plasma (HDMI 1). The Denon AVR-3311CI displays MULTI-CHANNEL with 5.1
UNCOMPRESSED AUDIO selected. NO DOLBY DIGITAL like the Xbox 360.

I just ordered a Denon AVR-X4000 AV Receiver to replace my Denon AVR-3311CI AV Receiver. I plan on using the Denon AVR-3311CI in another room with my second Xbox One console.

Hopefully Microsoft will get their ACT together and start fixing some of these issues. I think the console should've waited another year before it was released, as I'm guessing it will take about a year before things "seem" right.

    Just my two cents.

Bug Report - TV app quits working. Happened twice. Detailed Report inside.

I have had two issues since launch day relating to the TV app. I am using Brighthouse cable, Samsung HD DVR, Samsung 65 LED TV, Denon AVR-1912. I have the Samsung DVR HDMI connected to X1 HDMI IN. X1 HDMI OUT going through Denon AVR.

My first issue was the black and white tv logo and error message, when trying to access "TV" and when trying to access "TV and One Guide" in settings, basically not allowing any troubleshooting. This was resolved by unplugging power supply from the source
    for 15-20 seconds.

My second issue happened last night while watching a recorded show. About 15 minutes through the show, the screen flashed, and began recycling the exact same 5 seconds, like it was on a 5 second loop. I switched to live tv etc, and it did the exact same
thing (5 second loop). First, I unplugged the power from the Samsung DVR, that did not work. Next, I unplugged power from source on the X1, this did not work, I still had the "5 sec loop". Finally, unplugged power from X1, and all HDMI cables from X1 for
about 30 seconds, and this fixed things. If this is a temporary fix or not, only time will tell, but I'm guessing this issue or something similar will happen again. I hope this isn't a hardware problem, and that a firmware update etc can fix.
