DNS isn't resolving Xbox server names

    Hi,

I've just moved into a new house and I can't get my xbox one to connect to the interent when using the cable. I can however connect to the wifi of the house, but whenever I plug in the cable, it says 'DNS isn't resolving Xbox server names'. I have done both
the 'help' for this issue on the xbox itself and which is available on the xbox site, but nothing works. Does someone knows what else I can try? I really want cabled internet

    :)

    Hello,

Once again there still problem connecting Xbox app to server Toredo..

Since last update insiders build n°14971, there still impossible to connect to the server and as result it say always "Bloqued".

Toredo is qualified and connected but server won't be connected....

I tried every solutions from the support xbox app without success..

It's very enoying and don't know how fix that problem.

Build 14965 was the first build since long time who worked again well with multiplayer features and who was connected to the server.

if DNS is still an issue, try going in and setting the DNS manually. 8.8.8.8 is Google DNS for example. I have my router set to use this vs my ISP DNS.

Hi there, usually a power cycle will sort this issue out.

To perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem or gateway for five minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.
    2. Restart your Xbox One console:
      1. Scroll left from Home to open the guide.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Restart console.
      4. Select Yes to confirm.

Note If you’re unable to access the guide, or if the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console
        again to restart.
    3. After five minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first and wait for all of the lights to return to their normal state.
    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    Hi Franky,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue with connecting wired. You can try clearing the alt mac address on the Xbox. Go to settings>network>network settings>adv. settings>alt mac address clear and restart. You can also try the

    network connection troubleshooter.

    1. Step 1- choose my console cant connect to internet
    2. Step 2-No I get an error message
    3. Step 3 select your error and follow each step afterwards.
Try these and let us know.

    Brad
