    Downloadable content and system storage

hi I currently have the 360 and am considering buying an Xbox one, but i have heard a lot of complaints about the 500 gb storage. I don't really download any games off of the marketplace, I buy all my games at GameStop or best buy. Would I be okay as far
as system storage if I bought all my games at the store instead of downloading them on the xbox?

    :)

    Downloading issues

Try clearing your system cache and re-downloading them.

Go to 'System' via the dashboard > System Settings > Storage > Press Y > Select 'Yes'.

I had similar problems with downloadable content, and this method resolved it.

    Downloadable content and system storage

Even with physical discs, it automatically installs the games to the hard drive. So you will use up some space. You could go ahead and get the consoles with the 1TB hard drives. The One is also not limited like the 360 is on USB storage. So you can add a
lot more storage with external hard drives.

First, try to update your Xbox Live information by clearing your cache. You may have an older version of the item you’re trying to download or purchase on your console. Here’s how:

Delete the Marketplace System Data. To do this, follow these steps:

Press the Guide button on the controller.

Go to Settings, then select System Settings.

Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.

    Select System Items.

Select Content Cache, and then select Delete.

Clear your console cache. Here’s how:

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings, then select System Settings.

    Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select. The cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

    Select Clear System Cache.

When you’re prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

    Restart your Xbox 360 console.

Retry your purchase or download from Xbox Live.

If you continue to receive this error message, there may be a problem with the offer on Xbox Live and you need to contact Xbox Support.

Solution 2: Delete the content and download it again

Delete any active downloads from the active downloads screen, delete any partially downloaded content, and then try to download the content again. Here's how:

Press the Guide button on the controller.

    picture

    Go to Games & Apps.

Select Active Downloads, then select Cancel All.

Now that the active downloads are cancelled, delete any partially downloaded content. Here’s how:

Press the Guide button on the controller, then go to Settings.

    Select System Settings.

Select Storage, then select your storage device.

Press X on your controller for Deletion Suggestions.

Scroll through the suggestions and delete any content that has a yellow exclamation point. The exclamation point indicates content that is incomplete or corrupted.

Now that the partially downloaded content has been deleted, try downloading the content again. Here's how:

Go to the Settings hub and select Account.

    Select Download History.

Select the item you were having problems downloading.

    Select Download Again.

    Halo 4 problems

Hey there Trogdor! I would try these steps:

-Delete the content from your storage device (go to System, Settings, Storage, find the content and delete it.)

-Clear your system cache 3 times in a row (seriously, 3 times, here's a guide:

    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
    ).

    -Restart your console.

-Redownload the content from your download history (here's a guide, if you need it:

    support.xbox.com/.../download-content-history
    ).

Try that out and let us know how it works for you! ^_^

look into your system and games storage. somewhere will be a file with a yellow triangle to the left of it which means the content is damaged or needs to be re-downloaded.

delete that piece of content and redownload it.
