    Elite controller series 2 disconnecting from Xbox series X


    I’ve seen this question out there before but the comments were locked and no answers were given to fix the issue. Both my console and my controller are up to date on all firmware available. My controller has full battery. Both devices have been restarted. My series 2 elite controller and series X console disconnect from one another and it says my controller has been disconnected. While the connection light is still on, all I can do is grab another controller and turn it on and wait it out for the console and elite controller to reconnect. My devices are well ventilated and in view of one another. Whats the fix?

    Ive had the baseline controllers for years and keep holding back from pulling the trigger (get it?) for an elite controller. When the series 2 came out, I was ready to go get one, but the fervor died off with reports of disconnecting.

    Right now I’m still waiting to get an elite. I plan on it sometime this year, maybe with the Series X

    Thank you for your post. The Xbox Series X will allow for backward compatibility with Xbox One controllers, meaning an Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 will work as normal with the Series X.

    Microsoft Elite Controller 2 disconnects from XBOX One X intermittently

    This did not work, I also noticed that if I shut off the XBOX One X it disconnects this controller and I have to reconnect it on startup. This does not happen with my other controllers just the Elite series 2 one.. I'll request a replacement
