Error 0x8007045d occours when trying to Open Forza Horizon 5

May I know which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this issue?

Also, please tell me if this is happening only with this game

I did everything what you said and i still get send to the gameservices microsoft store page when i open forza horizon 5 and only forza horizon 5

I found the fix...

When u open forza horizon 5 standard edition page scroll down where you see forza horizon 5 game and download that...

The download will start

I had the same issue with trying to open Forza Horizon 5 from game pass, would open the microsoft store to the "gaming services" page just to tell me it's already installed. Tried multiple reboots an reinstalling the xbox app. Tried the "repair" and "reset" buttons in the app settings for Forza Horizon 5 and after a reboot the xbox app won't even recognize the game is installed, asks me to install it again and then returns an error when I try (Error code: 0x00000001)
When I try to open the app settings for Forza Horizon 5 from the start menu now it just leads to the generic apps window and doesn't locate FH5 at all.

so like what I just have > 100gig of dead space on my SSD now? nice

edit: I updated windows and tried installing FH5 to a different drive, it downloaded like 100mb of data and then recognized the game and let me open it from my SSD again. weird but ok

Thank you for your response and continued patience while we try to troubleshoot this with you! The last bit of troubleshooting I can suggest will go as follows. Please follow this accurately as possible in hopes that it will resolve the error. If it does not, I will provide you a link so you may report it directly with the Forza Support Team;

Step One: Open the Microsoft Store and search for Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition


Step Two: Click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and select Install from Xbox App

Step Three: Once the Xbox app opens, scroll down until you see the tab "Included in this bundle" then select Forza Horizon 5 from this tab

Step Four: This will redirect you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 rather than the Standard Edition. Please try to download this version to see if it resolves the error
