No, I did not get payment confirmation as usual, it pretty much locked up at that point then the error message showed. My shopping cart still shows the error, cannot get into it to view cart or saved items anymore.

To enter a promo code, you would go through the purchasing steps on the store - microsoftstore.com, put the specific item in your cart then there is an option for Enter a Promo Code right in the Cart below the cart items.

The promo code would then show the addition/deduction of that the code was for.

I had the same issue since this morning. Xbox series X in cart, go to checkout, then error message stating an issue on their end and to “try again in a bit.” I tried all morning into this evening. Decided to call them...On hold with xbox support for 1
hour and 49 minutes before someone picked up only to tell me that the item in my cart is sold out even though i had an order number and expected ship date.
