EXTERNAL HDD UPDATE/ movies and music

I bought a new WD 2TB USB3 HDD. Plugged it into my XBone and formatted it, but when I plugged it into my PC I could not add any type of files to it. Will we not be able watch movies or listen to music from our external hdd like we could on 360???

    :)

Is there anything major missing from the Xbox one?

i agree with game updates i will go further with purchases from xbox store que up and the console has to be on.. seems the only thing microsoft/xb1 can push thru is the system updates...

i would like to see the ability to make custom music tracks with the expansion of external hdd and people storing music it would make sense to be able to have personal sound tracks. i guess you can do it if you run xbox music in snap while playing but id rather it not be an overlay of music and rather integrable.

    Deleting an installed game.

External HDD's for the Xbox One can only be formatted 1 of 2 ways.

    1. For Games and Apps

    2. For Movies and Music.

    Plan accordingly.

Will the Xbox One support 3.0 USB's?
6ft is talking about support of external hdd. which will not be supported at launch.
It is supported at launch, but only for multi-media (music movies etc) not for game related items iirc. Hell I could hook up a MP3 player or other mass storage device to a 360 at launch and transfer music over.
