Hz drop down menu not showing up on Xbox one X

Hey yall i recently purchased a 144hz monitor because i have a PC as well as an xbox one x which i have heard recently has gotten an update to support 120hz. I know my hdmi and monitor is legit because when i have my pc hooked up the monitor reads its
running at 144hz but when i have my xbox hooked up I have no drop down menu below the resolution to adjust my hz to 120. When i first hooked my monitor up to my xbox it recognized that my monitor had “special video settings available” or somewhere along the
lines of that but thats it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Hz drop down menu not showing up on Xbox one X

    Hi there MrT0sh,

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with Xbox One X video settings. I recommend to check out this resource article for more information on display settings:

How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox One
    .

If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to the Monitor Manufacturer for more information.

Give this a shot and let us know the results.

Press the big X on your controller and go to the farthest tab on the left and it will say redeem code. You can also go to the top of this page and hover over your gamertag and a drop down menu will show up where you can also redeem the code.

    144hz monitor doesn't work with 120hz

    Hey SFL!

The Xbox One X is capped at 120Hz at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, but can do 4k UHD at 60 Hz. Unfortunately the Xbox cannot go higher than 120 Hz at the moment.

By any chance does your monitor have a setting to dial it down to 120 Hz?

I would also look over this article for display settings explanations: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/adjust-display-settings.

Let us know if that helps.

I don't know how to explain what kind of problem this is

Under Security Mode there is a drop down menu. The menu should have 3 options the last one should be Show more or something to that effect sorry... It has been awhile since I have been in one of these gateways.
