BluRay with DTS sound - picture delayed

I'm having the same issue. This occurs with both Youtube and BluRay play back. The Audio is delayed.

I'm using a Marantz SR7005 and Pioneer KURO.

My Playstation 4 does not have this issue.

Xbox One X, Dolby Atmos Not Working, Makes Distorted Crackling Sound

I have Dolby Atmos problems with Xbox One X, I have an LG OLED 65E6P and a Marantz SR7009 receiver. My receiver clearly is getting an Atmos Signal but it’s got a distorted crackling sound. Kind of like when you’re having video connection issues with the
screen flickering, except it’s happening with the sound with Dolby Atmos, just a rapid distorted flickering of the sound. I had this happen in the past when I first tried using Atmos with a PC a couple years ago to play Star Wars Battlefront the first Dolby
Atmos compatible game and it was a cable issue, I was using to long of an HDMI cable, switched to a shorter one and it worked.

However this time I have tried 4 different cables and nothing works, I tried it months ago on an original Xbox One could not get it to work, and now the same thing is happening with my brand new Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition. I was hoping the problem
would go away with the new Xbox One X, not happy that it doesn’t. It has the problem with both the Dolby Atmos app demos and when I booted up Gears of War 4, does the same thing, didn’t try a 4k Blu-ray but I assume it would have the same problem since everything
else that outputs an Atmos signal seems to.

I have also tried using an HD Fury AVR Key which extracts the HDMI Audio so you can send the audio to an older non-HDCP2.2 receiver and HDCP2.2 video to the TV, since the Marantz SR7009 doesn’t support HDCP2.2 and I don’t feel like spending a couple grand
getting the newest version that does when I can get this little AVR Key for $150. It also doesn’t work; it does recognize the Atmos signal though, but still the same distorted crackling sound. The HDCP2.2 video to the TV works fine though, so it’s not a handshake
issue like you get using non-HDCP2.2 hardware.

I have basically run out of things to try and must assume that it’s a firmware issue with the Xbox One or software issue on the Dolby Access side of things that make it incompatible with first generating Dolby Atmos receiver’s like the Marantz SR7009. It’s
just weird because there are no error messages like I see a lot of other people having online saying there receiver is not Dolby Atmos capable when they are, it just seems to think everything is working, when it clearly isn’t.

  4. Marantz SR7005: Simulated Atmos from XBOX One S?

    Hi CardTuba5342797,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I just want to ask a couple of questions to get an insight to your set-up.

In reference to Bitstream Format for the audio settings on an Xbox one, What type of connection is being used for the audio set-up? HDMI audio or Optical audio to
Bitstream out. you can select one of these formats. These formats are typically used with compatible audio receivers or optical headphones. Formats labeled “HDMI only” will turn off Optical audio. Here are some troubleshooting resources that may
    help:

For Atmos, Do you use the Dolby Access app
to help set up headphones/home theater audio settings for the Xbox One S?

For more specifications in regards to the Atmos signal, I would recommend to visit the

    Dolby Atmos Forums
or refer to the Marantz SR6011 Manual for the AV Surround Receiver.

    Hope this helps.

  5. My question above was simply: 'does the XBOX One S have simulation capabilities for simulating ATMOS sound from a 5.1 or 7.1 surround input'? My system is functioning fine. I only ask because I tried setting the XBOX to ATMOS out with a 5.1 Dolby input
from VUDU and my receiver displayed that I was receiving an ATMOS signal from the XBOX. I am using all highspeed 4k capable HDMI cables on all inputs and outputs.

  6. You absolutely should be able to use Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre with a 5.1 or 7.1 setup. If you want to use it on headphones you’ll have to purchase the add on in the app for $14.99

The main issue is getting streaming services and games that have support for it which not all do.

Marantz SR7005: Simulated Atmos from XBOX One S?

No, the Xbox One S does not simulate ATMOS from a 5.1 source.

However, since the Xbox One can run multiple sound applications at any given time (for example you run an Atmos enabled game, while having a music app running in the background), the console will ALWAYS output an ATMOS signal to your receiver, since the
game sound is in spatial surround.

Into that ATMOS spatial surround sound track, the stereo music track will be mixed in. But since the music track does not have surround or height information in it's stereo signal, you won't get the music in ATMOS spatial surround, even if your receiver
    shows ATMOS coming in.

If you watch a 5.1 video in VUDU, the Xbox will distribute the 5.1 sound information to the front, center, back surround and subwoofer channels for the ATMOS signal, and your ceiling speakers for example won't get sound.

So even if your receiver shows ATMOS, and you have twenty speakers mounted in your home cinema, only the standard 5.1 speakers will produce sound, if you watch a 5.1 sound source.

Crackdown 3: Xbox One X reverts to Stereo with Dolby Atmos setup

    Hi,

yes, console restart, a different Xbox One X and instead of Marantz, an Onkyo of the latest AV system.

It does not activate Dolby Atmos in any way, but other games do it flawlessly.

It sounds like a bug, yes, but for everybody. Not only for a determinated setup.

Anyone has tested Dolby Atmos setup with Crackdown 3? What setup?

    Thanks
