Mass Effect Indoctrination Theory

Shepard was probably partly indoctrinated, he spent a lot of time near reaper artifacts, which are known to indoctrinate, and if you hear a reapers voice, then they're in your head, trying to indoctrinate you.

But shepard must have resisted indoctrination, but he had to eventually face it in his mind, or else he'd just be a mindless husk, and look "hey...theres trees here, they weren't here before, that's not good, these trees are in my dreams, that means i'm dreaming!"
he see's trees at the end, and those trees only occurred beforehand in his dreams.

and as you notice, the only goal of the dreams is to get to the child, which is his sanity and resistance to indoctrination "remember the fallen" which keeps him going to continue resisting indoctrination and fighting the reapers, his main goal since the start,
he was made to fight, eventually fight the reapers, and continue fighting because if he doesn't, everyone is ***.

And take a look, he may have been partly synthetic, but wasn't cybernetics helping people become indoctrinated, hint: SAREN ARTERIUS, who sovereign implanted to keep him loyal? but the cybernetics were to help, which rules out most of the theory.

Now, look back at shepards past, he had a lot of contact with reaper artifacts, and actual reapers, including indoctrinated slaves, so they had an influence against him, but he resisted, as that was what he had always done.

Now the endings: Control: you finally let the reapers win, they finally got you to feel sympathy for them, and so you let them control you.

Synthesis: you did similar to control, but you made sure everyone is helped at the end.

destroy: a final f*** you to the reapers, you defied them once more, and you get to live (possibly) with an EMS of 5000 or more.

Now: the breathing scene, remember when Harbinger shot that laser at you? that's probably the rubble around you, now he may be taking his first unindoctrinated, indoctrinated, or just final breath.

now, the radio, reaper lasers destroy ships people, a radio wouldn't survive, even if the best craftsman himself made it!

now, the teleporter, if anderson followed shepard up, then why is he ahead of shepard? and also, how did he not come out the same place, there is only ONE hallway people.

Think about these trivial answers and questions, but please, no hate on my comment, it's my opinion, I think shepard 'Shep' was indoctrinated partially, but resisted it, and had to finally face it, but I do have one last question, what really happens to everyone
then? is my romance Tali still alive? are my freinds, Anderson, Bailey, Garrus, Grunt, Wrex, or even Kaidan still alive? did we actually beat the reapers? or is everyone ***? I mean when Sovereign controlled Saren, and Saren died, sovereign lost control of
everything, did the reapers do the same, and when he finally resisted completely, did the same happen to them, but I know the Leviathans would save as many as they could(non-reapers), being underwater and all.

:)

2. Klencory planet in ME1 & the ME3 Ending (SPOILERS)

Just saw this, thought people might want to check it out. So, does this put a dent in the indoctrination theory or strengthen it?

The indoctrination theory has plot holes as well. For example why is Shepard just accepting everything the ghostly image tells him, the series is about choices but Shep just stand like a statue and agrees with and does everything the boy tells him? Makes
no sense. Also where does the Mass relays exploding factor into the indoctrination theory?

The ending is all part of a plan by EA/Bioware, they purposefully did this to charge for an alternate ending DLC.
Because its all a hallucination. None of it is real.

Id also like to link another Indoctrination theory vid made by the guy who made the "ten things that make ME3 ending bad" video that has been making
its rounds. After watching it, I hope that the Indoctrination theory is true and makes me actually like the ending.

Ha ha, Angry Joe. That's where I first found out about the theory to begin with.

4. Mass Effect Indoctrination Theory

i think shepard was definatley indoctrinated to some extent. i saw the dreams and visions of the kid as him resisting indoctrination. i thought itd be cool if they had a renegade ending where shepard leads the reapers [kind of like the control one but nore
evil lol] and became fully indoctrinated. one thing i dont like was how cerberus was under reaper control; even if they had implants that altered theyre indoctrination type from a mindless husk to a semi-aware soldier, it doesnt explain why they didnt become
husks later on, similarily why could infected turians or marauders use guns still when the brutes husks and banshees couldnt? also why are there so many banshees in the campaign? they can only be made from ardat yakshees so why are there aton especially on
worlds besides thesia? i did like how the geth were effectivley infected with a virus and later ridded of this ¨¨reaper code' i get where they were going with the whole indoctrination thing but it didnt feel real for me, how does
a machine just convert biological mass into more machinery? in me2 they even say there pumping the liquified colonists into the human shaped reaper to create it.... wtf? so wouldnt that mean it was made out of bone not metal? i think shepard would have been
far more suscepteble to indoctrination than a normal person because of the implants but since he is the main character hes just too cool for indoctrination lol.

another ME3 Earth MP DLC rumor (same info just different source)

IF BioWare denies "Indoctrination theory" in the coming extended cut DLC,they are fully indoctrinated by rEApers.the theory is very accurate to almost perfect.

New theory going around about the ending. (spoilers)

Yes the ending is really bad in terms of writing.

.

Which is why people are either upset or trying to come up with "theories" to make something good or passable out of it.

.

For me. I am will to believe that it was a "dream" and your were fighting off indoctrination. Basically still lying in a pile of ruble on Earth. Rather than believe that what was shown was a real ending to Mass Effect.

That is not the point. The narrative of the cut scenes are from OUR point of view, not Shepard's.

So unless we are indoctrinated, I fail to see how Mass Relays blowing up is all happening in Shepard's mind.
How do you know its from OUR point of view? It very well could be Shepard's subconscious or Harbinger trying to convince him that he has done the right thing. We don't know. Its fun to speculate though.
