    Mic output keeps on going in and out


    Hello to anyone who can possibly help me, I have been trying to use the xbox app on my windows 10 computer, yet my mic output to my friends keeps on going in and out making it virtually impossible for them to understand me. My mic is not the issue due to it working fine on discord and I have given the xbox apps permissions to use my mic, I tried clearing the cash, updating my drives uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my computer, ect, but to no avail.

    go into the settings in companion app and change output audio, mine usually sets the mic as the audio output for some reason.

    The mic/line in on your PC may be one of several things:

    A mono mic socket: This is too sensitive for the line outputs of the XBbox

    A stereo mic socket: same as above

    A combined line/mic socket. If it is, and you'll have to check the spec of your PC, there will be a software switch to fiddle with so that the card doesn't use the Mic (high sensitivity) setting for the socket. Look in the taskbar for a speaker icon and
    start there.

    The output from the Xbox audio is a high-level signal which will distort when plugged into low-level mic sockets. Not all PC's have stereo line inputs, but many have mic only inputs.

    A final option if you have an Optical input on your PC is to use the optical out from the back of the Xbox.

    Hey there, cYaNtnT!

    I'm sorry to see any headset issues! We are pretty limited in what support we can offer for third-party devices. However, checking on your PC and tablet really helps because it sounds like there might be something wrong with the controller.

    If you haven't already, make sure
    it's updated    . If you have an audio adapter for the controller, make sure that is plugged in when you update it. If you can't, or that doesn't work, try another account with that headset. There could be an account issue, not necessarily a suspension, that
    you might be seeing.

    If neither of those work, then try out another controller. It could be the controller update corrupted somehow. If it works on another controller, you will need to replace yours.

    Lastly, if none of this works, you will want to
    reach out to HyperX     to see if they have anything else that can be done to help you out.
