This did not work for me. I called Arris tech support and they walked me through the bridge process.

    1. Log in to the modem. Go to the top menu and select WIRELESS.

    2. In the drop down menu under Wireless select DISABLE. Click APPLY.

    3. On the left hand menu select the BASIC link. Under basic, select the SETUP link on the left.

    4. It will say Primary Mode, and under it there is a drop down menu next to NAPT. Select DISABLE then click APPLY.

The modem will reset. Then you need to set up your router properly. I have a Netgear Nighthawk r7000 and I had to call Netgear tech support for help as well because there were no proper instructions anywhere for setting your router up with a bridged modem.
After I go both fixed the NAT switched to open on BOTH Xbox Ones in my house as well as Open in Black Ops 3. Hope this helps.

Network behind a port symmetric NAT

    Greetings D34TH!

Could you verify if your Motorola/Netopia (2210-02-1ATT) is operating in bridge mode.

The Motorola/Netopia (2210-02-1ATT) is also a router built-in to this device and since you have an additional router that terminates into this device, the Motorola device must be operating in bridge mode, (standard modem) or your connection will break implementation
of NAT traversal utility tools over UDP.

You have two options, how to bridge the Motorola: Contact your ISP and have them know that you connect an additional router to this device and that the Motorola have to be put in bridge mode. Or, you can try this on your own by using this

    Bridging Guide
    (IP Passtrough).

I would recommend that you reach out to your ISP and have them walk you trough, how to bridge this device.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

Keep disconnecting from Xbox Live Party chat

The user guide gives no information regarding how to bridge the Motorola SURFboard SBG6580. If its possible, I recommend you to contact your ISP and consult how to configure your Motorola in bridge mode, if this was supplied by them.

Post back and let us know how it goes.
