PES4 X360 Backwards Compatibility

When I try to play Pro Evolution Soccer 4 I get a message saying "This
original xbox game is not supported on your xbox 360 console. An update to this game may be available. For more info, go to xbox.com/games" Error codes given are X:5832.0 and
B:1884.0.

Admittedly I haven't played the game for many years but it has worked on this console before. I have cleared the system cache and done a roll-back of the latest xbox live update but this has not solved the issue. My console still has its original hard drive fitted and my disc copy of Halo 2 still works on the 360 so I'm not sure why this doesn't work now. Can anybody help?

But even on the official Microsoft list PES4 isn`t listed. And being equivalent doesn`t mean it`s exactly the same,

So perhaps you would need to find a genuine copy of the Winning Eleven 8

It's labelled Winning Eleven 8 on that list which is the NA/JP equivalent. Xbox officially list PES 4 as compatible here also:

PES 4 is not listed in the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list for original Xbox games , PES 5 is though.

Currently, the backward compatibility program of X360 games is paused. Microsoft is focusing on the backward compatibility of XBOX One games on the XBOX Series X. Have some patience, I think more X360 games will follow
