    SmartRG: Change Wireless Mode


    SmartRG (Modems/Gateways): Change Wireless Mode
    SmartRG SR350N

    Login Information:

    Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1/admin

    Username – admin

    Password – admin





    Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1/admin in the address bar and press enter.
    3. Enter “admin” for the username and “admin” for the password when prompted.
    4. Select Wireless.
    5. Select Advanced.
    6. Select Only 54G from the 54g Mode drop down.
    7. Click Apply/Save.

    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1/admin in the address bar and press enter.
    3. Enter “admin” for the username and “admin” for the password when prompted.
    4. Select Wireless.
    5. Select Advanced.
    6. Select the desired channel from the Channel drop down. (Channels 1,3,9,11)
    7. Click the Apply/Save button.

    If you suddenly lost the ability to connect wired and wireless the console may have a faulty part and need repair. In which case you will need to go here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices
    to start that process.

    Hard to explain issue.

    Check for obstructions that is close and could interfere with your router's signal strenght aswell as the external wireless network adapter. Try changing your router's wireless channel manually to a different channel (e.g. 11). Try changing/lowering the
    wireless mode (802.11 mode:). If your router's wireless security protocol is set to WEP try changing it to WPA or WPA2. Make sure UPnP is enabled.
