    Hello,

    I am a suscribed Live Gold member (I've suscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in November, it expires in one month approximately.

    I can grab my monthly free games ("Games with Gold") for Xbox One by using the Microsoft Store Windows 10 app on my computer, it works perfectly.

    XBox 360 games must be retrieved using the marketplace.xbox.com website instead, and that
    never worked for me (so, I have to do that on an actual console).

    From a regular browser on my computer, I log in on the website, click "download on XBox 360" (on the LEGO Star Wars II page). Get a "purchase confirmation page", click "Confirm", then nothing happens (the loading animation is running forever).

    On looking at the network monitor in Firefox dev tools, I see a bunch of 200 OK responses, and a 404 on
    https://live.xbox.com/fr-FR/Purchase/Xbox/<REDACTED>/pidl.prerequisites.js. Could it be what blocks the purcharse process ? What is it ?

    I've Googled a bit to no avail. At least 1 other person had this problem but the old forum threads do not have any solution, see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/cant-get-the-free-xbox-360-game/0a563463-30e6-4331-91dd-25e9d7ff241a
    (this is a workaround at best, not a solution).

    I've tried changing paiment mode (switching from Paypal account to a valid credit card before "purchase"), it does not make any difference.

    Also, I have noticed that when I go to certain screens in the Xbox 360 dashboard on my console, I do get weird error codes. I haven't written them down but I could provide them if they are useful. My console is 100% functional, so these
    error codes are definitely account / software related issues, not console hardware issues.

    locking unresolved thread is not really helping in my opinion, but if that's the rules I guess I should not complain.

    My account region, console region and language region are all FR.

    Here are the browsers I tried : Opera, Chrome and Firefox on Android, Opera and Chrome on Mac OS X, Edge on the Xbox One. Getting a 404 on a Javascript download does not seem browser related.

    Here's a question that could help : If I change my region, let's say to U.K, and I purchase the DLC, will it be compatible with my digital copy of the game bought with my FR account ?

    EDIT : I tried with the UK region and english language configured in my profile, that did not work. Note that the purchase page where you select your payment method was still in french, URL pointing to xbox.com/[...]/fr-FR/[...] .

    The problem of the OP, which I also have, is a javascript issue, and it depends on the account region/site language only as far as there are hypotetically different static files for every language, but it appears to affect many regions/languages.

    The file pidl.prerequisites.js is apparently missing for french and italian language (I have an italian account), and this makes the purchase process fail because of a javascript require.js error.

    We as users can't fix this on our own without debugging and reverse-engineering the marketplace.

    Hi,

    I have the same problem and all threads mentioning it keep being locked for no good reason.

    Getting games through the Xbox One is a workaround yes, but you can't buy DLC for 360 games on Xbox One.

    I did not know that, so I bought Asura's Wrath on sale 2 days ago, then I could not buy the ending (because yes the ending of this game is on a DLC...). I can't on Xbox One by design, and I can't on the web store because of the bug described here.

    Now I'm stucked with half a game, pretty useless and frustrating.

    Could you please look at this issue which goes back to October last year ? And please stop locking the threads before fixing the bug.

    Because you arent supposed to rely on older threads

    The reason why the threads arw locked is its old or answered

    If YOU arent the op then there is absolutely no reason to revive a thread as the OP doesnt need the answer and thread hijacking isnt allowed period

    also solutions in the previous threads may not apply to you as everyones settings are different

    One what is your account region

    What your actual region

    What is your console region and language region

    (Yes for xbox dlc you must be the nationally supported language)

    All of the above MUST MATCH

    You can buy xbox 360 content thru the marketplace only if its compatible and yes NOT all game versions are supported

    When buying thru thr browser you must use firefox or ie or edge

    Chrome or safari will always have issues
