Xbox game bar recording glitchy when watching back

    Hello!
Recently my xbox game bar recorder seems to be broken.
Regardless of what game I play, if I play on fullscreen or not or how do I start the recording, every time I watch back the recording it seems glitchy, it looks like it goes a couple of frames, then jumps back a couple of frames then jumps forward again (video of this)
How could I fix this problem?

    Here are my capture settings:

Xbox game bar recording glitchy when watching back

Hello, thank you for your response.
I've been using Game bar recorder for years and this started happening a couple of months ago, the weird things is that the recorder works perfectly in some games but in most games it is still glitchy.
    I have windows 11
I've tried uninstalling game bar and every single xbox app multiple times and changing my settings, also I've tried doing what you suggested and setting the quality to standard (there is no medium quality) and nothings seemed to work.

Please answer the following questions :

Is this the first time you try recording using the game bar or the issue started happening recently?
Which windows version do you have ? 11 or 10?
Which troubleshooting steps you have done so far buddy?

    In the meantime try this:

Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the pop-up menu.

Copy and paste the following command in PowerShell and hit Enter to uninstall the Game Bar from your system.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

Now head over to Microsoft Store and search for Xbox Game Bar, install it and try again

Also, try using medium quality settings just to test

    Hi EYEcuDV

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Microsoft is currently working on improvements for the Xbox Game bar. You might want to download and install the beta to see if it helps.

Here are some things you can try to see if it helps:

Turn the Game Bar on or off in Windows 10:

    1. Navigate to the Xbox app within Windows 10.

    2. Select Settings and then Game DVR.

    3. Turn ëRecord game clips and screenshots using Game DVRí to off.

Turn the Game Bar on or off in Windows 10 using the registry:

    1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR.

    2. Change the AppCaptureEnabled DWORD value to 0 to turn it off. Change it to 1 to turn it back on.

    3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore.

    4. Change the GameDVR_Enabled DWORD value to 0 to turn it off. Change it to 1 to turn it back on.

To remove the Game Bar altogether:

If you would like to remove the Xbox app altogether, try this.

    1. Open a Windows PowerShell as an administrator.

    2. Type or paste ëGet-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackageí

    3. Let the process complete.

Let us know how it turns out.
