Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Child's Account

Hi Dashamanator

Below are a few guides on managing a child account:

How to manage your child's Xbox subscription

To manage the payment option for your child's Xbox subscription, you must sign in using the Microsoft email address and password of the child's account, not the parent's account.

Adding or updating a payment option for your child's Xbox subscription

If the payment option you use to pay for your child's Xbox subscription is expired or no longer valid, you'll need to update it so they don't lose access to their subscription.

Here's how to change how you pay for your child's Xbox subscription online:

1. Sign in to your Services and subscriptions page with your child's Microsoft account.
2. If you're not sure what the email address or password is for your child's Microsoft account, use the Lost Account Solution or
the Lost Password Solution.
3. Find the Xbox subscription you want to change in the list, and then select Change how you pay.

1. You can either select a current payment option from the list or select Add a new way to pay, select Next, and then follow the instructions to set up a credit card, debit card, PayPal account, or mobile phone carrier as
a new payment option.
Note For more info about using your mobile phone carrier as a payment option, see Buy stuff from Microsoft
Store with mobile billing
.

After you've updated how you pay for your child's Xbox subscription, you can remove the payment option you no longer want to use.

More information about how to manage the payment options for your child's Microsoft account and subscriptions

If you want to add, change, or update a payment option for your child's Microsoft account that is not tied to an Xbox subscription, go to Add, update or remove credit
cards and other ways to pay
and follow the instructions.

If you want to use a digital subscription code instead of a renewing subscription, you can redeem a digital code online. You'll still need to cancel
your child's current Xbox subscription to avoid any renewal fees.

If your child's Xbox subscription is past due, adding a digital subscription code will not settle the balance you owe. You'll need to settle the past-due balance before redeeming your digital code.

If you want to prevent unauthorized purchases by your child, see

Prevent unauthorized purchases by children on Xbox One.

Grant an exception to your child’s content limits on Xbox One

If you want to give your child permission to view content that’s rated higher than the child account settings for your family, you don’t need to change all of the settings to give access to a specific item.

Any adult in the family can grant exceptions to the content limits currently in the child account settings for your family. You have two options in granting exceptions:

• Always – This option grants a permanent exception that can’t be revoked.
• Just this once – This option is a one-time-only exception. It expires as soon as the child signs out of the console.
Note To grant the "always" exception, you need to have an Xbox account on the console. If your account is not on the console, you can only provide a temporary ("just this once") exception for the current session.

How to grant an exception to content limits

Note If you’re allowing your child to buy the game or video to which you’re granting an exception, the content must be purchased, downloaded, and installed before you can give permission to use it.

1. Have your child sign in to their account on the Xbox One console.
2. Locate the content you want to allow your child to access.
3. On the Choose who will give permission screen, select the account of the adult family member who's providing permission.
4. Enter the adult’s account email address and password, or the console’s passkey.
5. Select either Always or Just this once (or only Just this once if your account is not on the console).
After you give permission for your child to use this content, they can open the content immediately.

Xbox One online safety and privacy settings for parents and kids
Applies to: PrivacyXbox One

Xbox One has age-appropriate controls and settings that you can adjust to suit your family’s needs. You'll be able to set what people can see about a profile, limit who your child can communicate with online, view status and gaming history, and more. You
can access these settings from either Xbox.com or an Xbox One console—although to change settings for apps and content, you'll need to use the console.

If you have an Xbox 360, see Xbox 360 privacy and online safety settings.

Note

If you're having trouble changing your child's settings, sign in to your Microsoft account and make sure that account is listed as a parent account in the child’s Microsoft family. Only a parent using the Microsoft family service can change Xbox privacy
and online safety settings for a child account.

Here's what you'll find on this page:

Problem with the association between Gold and Game Pass Ultimate.

Unfortunately you would have to purchase gold again if that is what you want. Before purchasing the promotion, you are warned that whatever gold or regular game pass you have on your account will be converted to Ultimate Game Pass and cannot be converted
back.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate:

Use your active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership to play games on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Live Gold and additional benefits. Note: Purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based on days remaining. Learn how this works at www.xbox.com/gamepass. Future code redemptions are also subject to a
conversion ratio. Conversion ratio subject to change. All conversions to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are final: Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership back to a previous membership. Maximum 36 months of redeemed Xbox Game
Pass Ultimate per account at a time, including any converted time from Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass (for PC or console).

Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass Account

Does the car pass only work on 1 account on an Xbox? FH4 Ultimate was purchased on parent's account for a child. Child's account has access to the game and receives VIP status, but car pass cars do not appear for free in child's garage, but are
available under parent's account. If it's only available to 1 account, is there a process to change account assignment? Thanks.
