    I'm so confused as to why I can't play a FREE TO PLAY game how I expected to when I got it. Take fortnite, I had previously spent literally hundreds of pounds on cosmetics but that was before how pointless I saw it to be. I would just like to know why I
    should have to waste my money on **** like that and not even be able to play the game. What's the point in buying save the world for £25 if I can't even use that without Xbox prompting me to buy Ulitmate or the game pass. It's stupid in everyway. People talk
    about swapping to PlayStation for a reaon. FREE TO PLAY games are different on Sony consoles. Did you guess what could be so different? You don't have to pay to play FREE TO PLAY games. Aside from this, I've enjoyed Xbox for so long, but I just can't keep
    wasting money on subscriptions. And lastly, I can't even play COD: Cold War as it still prompts me to buy a pass of some sort and says that I can't play even the campaign as my account doesn't have access to gold????

    I spent another £60 to play that game now this **** happens?!?!

    If you mean xbox live gold yes....because xbox live is the xbox online service platform and xbox live gold is the subscription, and non gold subscribers are still connected to xbox live always.
