    Xbox one controller not working on MICROSOFT APP GAMES ONLY


    Before anyone asks I have gone through all the steps. Yes I even plugged in different xbox controllers, reset drivers and even done MULTIPLE REINSTALLS. What is going on is the MICROSOFT store games are trying to use both keyboard and mouse, AND the controller at the same time. Its extremely frustrating cause this only happened after the last few updates to windows 10 [insert frustrated groan here] Yes I did do a roll back, but microsoft being difficult it wont allow you to play your microsoft games without THEIR updates done. Extremely frustrated as I have tried EVERYTHING that people have done for work arounds. Its not the drivers, its not the controller, its not the bluetooth, its the microsoft store app not allowing me to sole use controller

    Is there any work around besides having to unplug my mouse and keyboard just to play the game?

    Your other games will not be affected as Gaming Services is only used in the Xbox app and Microsoft Store.

    Gaming services is not the Xbox app, it works as an add-on and the Xbox app games will only work if it is installed on your pc. You can download it from the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/gaming-servic...

    You can also be downloaded through the Microsoft store after deleting his records, to download directly from the Microsoft Store, open it and in the upper right corner click on the 3 dots (...) Downloads and updates and it will be there to be downloaded again, if not, click on get updates.

    To play xcloud games you must have an Xbox controller or compatible controllers, the keyboard and mouse will not work.

    I have the same issue,but only with controllers that I updated to firmware 1.1.2228.0 (and this issue only exists on xbox dashboard or sub-navigation (ie settings, notifications). Once within games or apps it works fine.

    My one controller in firmware 1.1.279.0 works fine.

    Hi guys, I bought an xbox-one controller. The problem is microsoft games don't take steam settings of controllers, and the switch pro controller work only with steam on pc.

    Xbox One Wireless Display

    First of all, You need only one controller! The controller is assigned only to one system - if you connect him with your PC and later you would use him on your XBOX, you have to assigne him to the XBOX again and vice versa.

    And second, here the APP "Xbox One Wireless Display" works only like a feed/stream of the computer display on the XBOX. It is not a full remote controll of your Computer! But you can also put a Mouse and Keyboard on your XBOX ONE, and some apps and games
    support this.

    And last but not least, the XBOX-App is like a full remote app,you can start and controll your apps & games via PC! Therefor you have to connect your controller at you computer.

    It's not just a lack of support for the Xbox One Media Remote. I have a Logitech Harmony Remote that works with the Xbox One and it also doesn't work with the YouTube App. The only device that seems to work with the YouTube app is the controller. It's a
    shame since the Xbox One Media Remote works really well in other apps like Twitch,Crackle and Machinama.
